Yesterday was the graduation rites of the university where I once worked. Though I have long left the school, the day is quite special for me too since some special students that I know have marched and received their diplomas yesterday. I am talking about the last batch of student leaders that I have mentored prior to leaving the university. No type of graduation gift can ever tell them how much I appreciate them but I think I have expressed in words and actions how happy and proud I am to have worked with them. They made my stay there very special and I am always proud of what they have done, what they have achieved and the persons that they have become. All of them used to call me Ma’am and for some it evolved into Mom. 

So yes, I do feel like a mom having kids graduating from college. It is my prayer that all of them will keep in their hearts and minds what we they have learned from us and continue to do what is good for their family and the society.
