Tips on how to prepare your child for Connecticut day care.
Whether you are a working parent or a stay-at-home parent, there will come a time when you will need help in looking after your child. This is the time when you can choose to get a babysitter or if you are the type of parent who wants your child to be with other children, you can put your child in a CT daycare center.
A Connecticut day care center can also be a place where your child can practice structured set-ups before going to a CT preschool. However, it is still vital that you prepare your child before leaving him or her in a day care center. Below are some ways in which you can do this.
· Talk to your child. Before leaving your child in a daycare center, make sure that you talk to your child and explain why he has to go. You can start several weeks before the day when you will actually leave him in the day care center. This way, your child will know what to expect.
· Visit the place. Bring your child to look around the day care center. Point out areas which you think your child will be interested in. If he or she likes books, make sure to show the library or reading corner of the day care center if they have one. If your child loves to play, show him the playground. It will be even better if you can have several visits before your child’s actual start date at the center.
· Get to know the people. When you bring your child to visit the center, make sure to introduce the people there as well. If you have the chance to visit the center several times then point out the same people to your child so that familiarity will grow between him and the other people and children in the day care center.
· Practice the schedule. Doing dry-runs will be great not just for your child but for you as well. Try to follow the schedule days before your child starts going to the day care center.
