Summer is not the time for heavy makeup because the heat and humidity will not only bring discomfort but could melt those powder and foundation too. During this time of the year, allow your skin to breathe and go for an all natural no makeup look. Now it might sound confusing because it actually requires a little effort to achieve that effortless beauty.
It will require some time and practice to make it look perfect, remember that you are going for a look where it seems like you’re not wearing any makeup at all. You can start by using a light foundation that complements your skin tone. Apply a small amount for coverage. A concealer can do the trick for spot treatments on acne scars and other problem areas.
Highlight your eyes with a neutral shade of eye shadow. Go for shades that match your eye color that way it will look natural. Use a makeup brush for easy application; try not to go overboard in order to avoid the heavy look. A few coats of mascara and slight eyeliner will complete the trick.
Give your cheeks the sun kissed look with the use of a powder or cream blush that is slightly dusted on the apples of your cheeks. A little sheer will make a reflection once light will hit your face for a dramatic effect. Lastly, finish your effortless look with a tinted lip balm or gloss. With these simple tricks you can go from a plain to glam in just ten minutes.

One of the best student leaders whom I have mentored some years back is now a professional licensed nurse and working as a Clinical Instructor at the university. My heart always swells with joy whenever he shares with me his accomplishment and how he finds his work fulfilling. Even before he graduated, I already know that the academe is for him. This type of work does not only allow him to work in a hospital setting but it also gives him a chance to train the young ones to become good nurses of their generation.
Speaking of nurses, did you know that there is an online store that sells discount medical scrubs? The name is Blue Sky Scrubs. Their wide array of products are stylish, affordable and very comfortable. Designs vary and there are nursing scrubs in solid colors as well as printed designs both for men and women. And since our health care workers perform highly demanding jobs, it is good to know that these quality fashion scrubs are made of wrinkle resistant-fabrics. It only means that despite their busyness and hectic days, our health care givers can still look fabulous and dashing all day long. If you are looking for medical scrubs for men, make sure that you check out this page: http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Men/. Make sure that you also browse around the website to find fashionable nursing scrubs for women. Happy shopping!
We all suffer from it at one point. Unfortunately for some, it is more frequent and long term resulting to a serious disorder. I am talking about anxiety and a chronic case of this is called GAD or Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
This type of disorder is generally treated with various drug therapies. However, a recent study involving women who suffers from GAD shows that exercise can greatly help in alleviate worry symptoms. The study was conducted by Matthew Herring of the University of South Carolina in Columbus. His research findings only shows that living an active lifestyle is not only good for the body but for our emotional well-being as well.

If there is one thing that I never learned as a child, it is riding a bicycle. Sure, I made some attempts. I remember the time when my cousins and brothers tried to teach me how to ride and fail because of my fear of falling down. A friend also did her share by spending some afternoons guiding me as I ride my bike but as soon as she lets go (which I can see based on our shadows), my fear of falling overrides the desire to learn. So here I am, several years after, still dreaming of riding a bike on my own. But I guess I am not a lost case yet. There is still time to learn, I believe.
So anyway, now that we are talking about bicycles (and my failure to ride one), let us check out some bicycle-themed items at Etsy. Here are some of my top picks:
