iPhone and iPod Touch Games for Kids

Some of the downloaded games on my iPod tire me so I end up playing the games which are no-brainer. But

I am very much amazed at how skilled and agile my daughter is when it comes to iPod apps and games. Many games that I have downloaded, especially the arcade ones are being played by her. I gave up on them some months ago. I just do not have the patience and besides, I am busy, remember? Haha!

Anyway, I found some a list of some recommended iPhone and iPod applications and games for kids HERE. I will definitely check them out (especially the free ones!) and download those that might interest my kid.

Recall: Nap Nanny

Reports of infants falling out of the Nap Nanny despite being buckled into the harness were also received. According to their website, Nap Nanny is not for crib use and it is intended for floor use only.

First generation Nap Nanny owners (made without D-rings in the foam base) are advised to stop the using the product and contact Nap Nanny for a coupon of $80 and free shipping of a new Nap Nanny. Second generation owners on the other hand (with D-rings) should visit Nap Nanny’s website, http://napnanny.com/,  for new instructions and warnings.

You might think that this bucket of crayons is a work of a genius. But this is just one of the those that made it to the list of Ridiculous Parenting Products at Parenting.com. Priced at $150, these needs a pocketknife in order to be sharpened. A bad idea if you ask me. There are even high heels for little girls. In animal prints at that. A crystal-encrusted pacifier is included in the list too!

Recall: Tween Brands Metal Jewelries

Recently a recall on some Tween Brands, Inc. products was made. The identified products contains

high levels of cadmium  which is toxic once ingested by children and can cause adverse health effects.

Recalled products are number at 137,000 pieces of children’s metal jewelry. It involves 19 different styles of children’s metal necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Styles and shapes of the jewelry include butterflies, hearts, heart locks, cupcakes, crowns and peace signs. Some jewelry contains the words "Best," "Friends" or "Forever" and/or "BFF."

Crocheting

I went Etsy-hopping today and look what I found! Some of the cutest crocheted hats (and babies!) in the planet!
They make me want to learn crochet and have another baby too! But nah, I’ll take crocheting for the moment. Haha! Seriously now, a colleague of mine knows how to crochet and I envy her. This craft is so meticulous that I do not think I have the patience for it. It’s not that I tried it. Haha! It has no UNDO button which make it more dreadful for me! But I would love to learn. Maybe someday.

Anyway, what is crochet? Wiki tells us that:

”It is a process of creating fabric from yarn or thread using a crochet hook. The word is derived from the French word "crochet", meaning hook. Crocheting, similar to knitting, consists of pulling loops of yarn through other loops.”

Back in high school, I did cross-stitching which is a tedious work too. But I was able to accomplish some projects after many sleepless nights.
